Dr Barry Eiden
Dr. S. Barry Eiden is president, medical director and co-founder of Keratoconus Specialists of Illinois, an interdisciplinary practice that provides state of the art diagnostic and medical/surgical treatment services for patients with keratoconus and other forms of ectatic corneal diseases. He is also president and medical director of North Suburban Vision Consultants, Ltd., a multi-specialty group practice with 2 locations in the Chicago area. He is president and founder of the International Keratoconus Academy of Eye Care Professionals, an organization providing education and research to the eye care professions. Dr. Eiden is also co-founder and president of EyeVis Eye and Vision Research Institute, which is dedicated to clinical research and development of technologies in the eye care field. Dr. Eiden is an assistant clinical professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center in the Department of Ophthalmology, Cornea and Contact Lens Service and an adjunct faculty member of the Indiana, Illinois, Salus, and UMSL Colleges of Optometry. He is on the editorial board of numerous professional journals and frequently publishes in the professional literature.
Dr Randy Epstein
Dr. Randy Epstein is co-director of corneal surgical services at Keratoconus Specialists of Illinois. Additionally, Dr. Epstein is the Chief Executive Officer of Chicago Cornea Consultants, Ltd. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign, and received his M.D. from Rush Medical College. He completed an internship and ophthalmology residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He subsequently completed National Institutes of Health-sponsored fellowships in Ocular Immunology and Cornea/Refractive Surgery at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. He returned to Chicago in 1986, and was appointed to the faculties of Rush Medical College, where he is a Professor of Ophthalmology, and the University of Illinois, where he is a Lecturer.
Dr Parag Majmudar
Dr. Parag Majmudar is co-director of surgical services for Keratoconus Specialists of Illinois. Additionally, Dr. Majmudar, M.D., is the President and Chief Medical Officer of Chicago Cornea Consultants, Ltd. where he practices cataract, corneal and refractive surgery. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. After receiving his medical degree at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Dr. Majmudar completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Chicago, serving as chief resident in the Department of Ophthalmology. He followed his residency with a subspecialty fellowship in cornea and external diseases and refractive surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
An active participant in clinical research activities, Dr. Majmudar is a highly regarded international lecturer and instructor on the subjects of corneal and refractive surgery.
